In order to have a personal relationship with God you must have received a spiritual birth. John 3: 3-6 "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God". Nicodemus said, to Jesus, "How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born, can he? Jesus answered, " Truly, truly, I say to you unless one is born of water and the spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit."
How you become born again is outlined in the bible. Romans 10:9 "That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved." Eph. 2:8&9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast." I John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Establish your salvation through your testimony. Romans 10:10 (amplified) "For with the heart a person believes and trusts in Christ so he is justified, declared righteous and with ones mouth he confesses, declares openly and speaks out his faith unto his salvation."
When you received Christ into your life God forgets the past. Your brand new, cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. II Corth 5:17 "Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come."
"Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13. If you have not received Christ into your life please take the time right now and pray this prayer:
"Lord Jesus, I know you love me, because you died on the cross
Bearing my sins. Thank you, for revealing to me that I need a savior.
Forgive me for all my sins; I receive you as my personal Savior.
I invite you into my life. Thank you for saving my soul and giving
